The Covid-19 pandemic has given rise to a severe health and economic emergency in India. The governance challenges are enormous and require bold, innovative and quick solutions.

With a view to provide both concrete evidence and clear recommendations that will equip our institutions to face the fallout of this pandemic and prepare us for such future disasters, Vidhi released its Briefing Book 2020. Titled ‘Towards a Post-Covid India’, it suggests 25 legal and governance reforms for the most pressing challenges of the day thrown up by the pandemic and the ensuing lockdown.

The Briefing Book was launched on July 10 at 5:30 pm, followed by a panel discussion on ‘25 Legal Reforms for a Post Covid-19 India’ as part of Vidhi’s conversation series ‘Law with a Difference’.

Panelists for the discussion were: Dr Indu Bhushan, CEO, Ayushman Bharat, Dr Lalitesh Kattragadda, Founder, Indihood, Dr KP Krishnan, IAS (Retd.), Rohini Nilekani, Philanthropist.

The session was moderated by Dr Arghya Sengupta, Research Director, Vidhi.
