Vidhi takes great pride in having contributed to the conceptualisation, drafting, and implementation of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC). As the legal framework and practice of insolvency law in India develops, Vidhi hopes to engage with these developments more systematically by collaborating with all stakeholders in the insolvency ecosystem under the aegis of this programme.

The programme showcases Vidhi’s thought leadership, publishes books, and carries out practice-linked research in collaboration with key stakeholders to promote a better understanding of the IBC and facilitate informed policy-making.

It organises an annual insolvency law conference in collaboration with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India, the insolvency regulator established under the Code. The first conference organised under the programme was held in December, 2018 and was inaugurated by Late Shri Arun Jaitley, the Hon’ble Finance Minister of India, at that time.

The programme’s first self-published book, ‘The Vidhi Handbook on the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code’, a collection of basic legal materials on the Code, was released in October, 2019.
