Global responses to the economic crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in the context of business insolvency

The government announced and implemented a host of economic measures in response to the Covid-19 crisis, including partial suspension of its corporate insolvency regime. This panel discussed some global responses to the economic crisis in the context of business insolvency and evaluated if a separate relief enactment can help Indian businesses tide over it.

The discussion on ‘Corporate Insolvency and the Crisis’ was held on July 30, 2020. Panelists were: Professor Mark J. Roe, David Berg Professor of Law, Harvard Law School and Dr Kristin van Zwieten, Clifford Chance Associate Professor of Law and Finance, University of Oxford.
