The Inaugural B.N. Rau Memorial Lecture delivered by Shri Saurabh Dwivedi (Editor, Indian Express Hindi) on 25 February 2026 at Sunder Nursery, New Delhi.

The Annual B.N. Rau Memorial Lecture is instituted by Charkha, the Constitutional Law Centre, at the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, to honour the life of Sir Benegal Narsing Rau. The lecture shall be delivered in a different Indian language every year, starting from Hindi this year. 

The Memorial Lecture is part of Charkha’s broader effort to realise the promise of the opening words of the Constitution – “We, the People” – by taking the Constitution to its intended beneficiaries in accessible Indian languages.
