Vidhi’s annual publication, the Briefing Book, is a compendium of actionable reform ideas aimed at addressing contemporary challenges in the Indian legal and policy landscape. This year’s edition, titled Implement India, marks a deliberate shift in our approach to legal and policy reform. Moving beyond the design of new laws, we focus instead on breathing life into existing legal frameworks, ensuring they work better, reach further, and include more.

Participants discussed possible alternative regulatory blueprints for driving climate finance in addition to the long-term goal of establishing licensed green banks in India and their role in creating a pipeline of bankable climate projects. Vidhi’s Briefing Books have contributed to transformative reforms in India over the years. We hope that this edition also helps continue the tradition of bridging rigorous research with practical, implementable reform.
