Heads Held High: Salvaging State Governors for 21st Century India

Launch of the second digital book by NAVI Books, Vidhi's open access, digital-only publishing website.

What really is the office of the State Governor? At times it has been called a colonial relic, at other times it has been called the umpire of Indian democracy. In Heads Held High, the authors explore the evolution of this institution in-depth & suggest ways to reform it today.

The second publication by NAVI Books, Heads Held High will be launched on March 16th, 2023 from 6:00 PM at the India International Centre. Shekhar Gupta, Prof. Louise Tillin and K.V. Viswanathan will be in conversation with Lalit Panda.

NAVI Books is an open access, digital-only publishing website by the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy.
