Arhat Chhabra

Arhat is a research fellow with the Corporate Law and Financial Regulation team at Vidhi. He completed the B.A. LLB. course from the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS) in Kolkata in 2018. He then joined the banking and finance team at Argus Partners, Mumbai as an associate. At Argus Partners, Arhat advised multiple domestically and internationally recognized clients, such as HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Citi Bank, Tata Steel and Altico Capital. Thereafter, he joined Talwar Thakore & Associates (TT&A), New Delhi, to assist with their corporate practice. At TT&A, he worked on some landmark transactions in India, including the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund’s acquisition of a controlling stake in the iBus group and Zomato’s acquisition of Wasteland Entertainment (Insider) from One97 Communications (Paytm). He also advised high profile clients such as the Norwegian Fund for Developing Countries (Norfund), the International Finance Corporation, the Asian Development Bank, and the Omnicom Group. In his free time, Arhat can be found watching cricket, football or basketball. He is an avid supporter of Liverpool FC (football) and the Boston Celtics (basketball).
