Anvita is an Associate Fellow under the Climate and Ecosystems team at Vidhi. She contributes to Vidhi’s projects on ecological conservation and management through legal research and writing. Her research interests include climate change adaptation and biodiversity law. Prior to Vidhi, she worked as a consultant under the Adaptation Division at the UNFCCC Secretariat, Bonn where she supported the proceedings of the loss and damage mechanism under the climate convention. Anvita has also worked on climate change and environmental impacts reporting for cities and states at CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), Europe. She was awarded the Inlaks Ravisankaran Small-Grants Fellowship in 2019, to undertake research for her master's dissertation on coastal adaptation and ecosystem resilience in Odisha. She has previously also worked with Dakshin Foundation, Bangalore and TERI University, Delhi. Anvita holds a master’s in environmental sciences from the University of Cologne, Germany and a bachelor’s degree in law from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore.
