Alena Kahle
Alena was an Associate Fellow in the Criminal Justice Team. She holds a Master of Science in Sociology of Law from Lund University (2022) and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Leiden University College, The Hague, an interdisciplinary program bringing together international law and human rights with social scientific research methods. Her research as part of these degrees examined resistance to the implementation of India’s Mental Healthcare Act, and litigation on manual scavenging. Alena also consults for think tanks working on human rights and international relations with India. Her work at Vidhi focuses on international best practices in criminal law reform.
