Internships

Vidhi, Bengaluru provides internship opportunities to undergraduate students on a rolling basis throughout the year. Students enrolled in recognised law programmes or allied courses in humanities and public policy are welcome to apply.

Interns at Vidhi’s Bengaluru office will have the opportunity to work with the following teams:

  1. Vidhi Karnataka Team which focuses on urban governance, housing, water, municipal finance, technology, public transport and general administration; or
  2. Judicial Reforms (JALDI) Team which focuses on areas of judicial process reengineering, gender diversity in the judiciary, and court infrastructure; or
  3. Tamil Nadu Chapter of Vidhi in States Initiative, which aims to write better laws in India’s states.
  4. Climate and Ecosystems team which works to strengthen conservation and environmental justice through rigorous policy analysis and research

They will also have the opportunity to:

  1. Interact with legal academics and practising lawyers, engage with civil society organisations 
  2. Conduct research on cutting-edge issues of law and policy
  3. Assist with drafting research papers and reports

Particulars:

1. One intern shall be selected for each of the four teams mentioned above.

2. The internships shall be full-time and in physical mode only, unless stated otherwise. 

3. The selected interns will be required to undertake one research project for the course of the 4-week internship based on any area of work the team is currently engaged in. They will have to submit a research question to the Internship Coordinator and a paper/report at the end of the internship in order to be entitled to a certificate.
