Freebies Debate Highlights the Limits of Judicial Overreach
The remit of election freebies could, potentially, prompt a discussion around what a framework for political party regulation in India can be, in order to secure transparency and accountability in electoral democracy.

Mayuri is a Milon K Banerji Senior Resident Fellow at Charkha, Vidhi’s Constitutional Law Centre. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D from Gujarat National Law University.
