About the event:

Hon’ble Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul (Retd.), former Judge of the Supreme Court of India and former Chief Justice of the Madras High Court, will deliver a lecture offering an insider’s perspective on one of the most critical challenges facing India’s judicial landscape: “The Challenge of Judicial Appointments in India.”

The lecture will be followed by the launch of Vidhi Tamil Nadu’s Briefing Book: 15 Legal Reform Ideas for Tamil Nadu—a collection of essays exploring critical legal and governance reforms for the state.

This is the first edition of our ‘Rule of Law Annual Lecture’ series, an initiative we aim to establish as an annual platform for meaningful dialogues on law, society, and public policy. Our aim is to bring together eminent thinkers, jurists, and policymakers to share their deep insights and perspectives.

This in-person event will be hosted at the Madras Club, on March 8, 2025 (Saturday) from 5:30PM-7:30PM. High Tea will be provided before the conversation.
