Vidhi Book Adda | The Policy Self: Learning to Think, Influence and Stay Human in Public Systems

Friday, 10 April 2026, 5:30 pm - Friday, 10 April 2026, 6:30 pm

Join us for the latest edition of Vidhi’s Book Adda, where we will discuss ‘The Policy Self: Learning to Think, Influence and Stay Human in Public Systems’ by Nitin Saluja.

About the Book

The Policy Self is a rare, practice-led reflection on the craft of public policy. Drawing on nearly two decades of experience across government, global corporations, and public institutions, Nitin Saluja shifts the lens from systems to the individuals who operate within them. This book explores how policy professionals think, exercise judgment, build credibility, and navigate the invisible pressures of institutional life. Moving beyond frameworks and theory, it offers a deeply human account of what it takes to stay effective and grounded in complex public systems.
