The Life of the Law Dialogues
‘The Life of the Law Dialogues’, organised by Vidhi and the Keshav Suri Foundation, explores how queer individuals’ lived experiences and legal battles illuminate the complex relationship between law, justice, and equality in India.
To kick off this series, join us for a discussion on the book ‘Surviving Loudly: Love, Law, and the Price of Being Seen’ with Supriyo Chakraborty, human rights advocate, author, and LGBTQIA+ inclusion champion, as he shares insights from his powerful memoir.
As the lead petitioner in the landmark Supriyo v. Union of India case on same-sex marriage recognition, Supriyo has been instrumental in shaping India’s discourse on marriage equality and family law rights. This session will be moderated by our Research Fellow, Shireen Yachu, and will feature an engaging conversation exploring law, love, identity, and inclusion.
