How much information is publicly available about courts in India and how can transparency within the judiciary be strengthened?

Join us for the launch of JALDI’s report, The Judicial Transparency Index: Assessing Disclosure of Information by the Supreme Court and the High Courts.

The report is the first systematic study of transparency practices across the Supreme Court and High Courts. Using our Judicial Transparency Index (published in December 2025), it assesses availability of key information on court websites across 68 indicators, including access to hearings, case allocation, judicial appointments, transfers, and asset disclosures.
