Making the Law SARAL

About the Discussion
Legal documents in India are often complex, creating barriers for citizens trying to understand their rights and obligations. At Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, we launched the SARAL Initiative to change this—making legal language Simple, Accessible, Rational, and Actionable (SARAL).
Join us as we unveil the findings of India’s first public survey on legal accessibility, where a staggering 84.5% of respondents said they struggle to understand legal documents.
This in-person event will be hosted at Seminar Rooms 1, 2, & 3, Kamaladevi Complex, India International Centre, on February 25, 2025 (Tuesday) from 6 pm – 7:30 pm. The event is free for all to attend, but prior registration is recommended. High Tea will be provided before the conversation.
