Fundamental rights are those rights which are considered fundamental or essential for the existence of individuals and which a nation guarantees its citizens. In this video by Nyaaya, Arghya Sengupta, Research Director of Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, explains what these are fundamental rights are and why citizens should know about them. In India, these are enshrined in Part III (Articles 12 to 35) of the Constitution and include the right to equality, right to freedom, right against exploitation, right to exercise any religion, cultural and educational rights, and right to constitutional remedies.
