Deepa is a Research Fellow at Vidhi, Karnataka. Her research interests lie in the interplay between technology, data and urban policy. Prior to joining Vidhi, Deepa interned with Aapti Institute where she researched on data stewardship models and the governance of non-personal data. She holds an undergraduate degree in law from School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore.

Vidhi’s Submitted Comments to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on The Wildlife (Protection) Amendment Bill 2021
The submission stressed on the need to expand the scope of invasive species and species declared as vermin. Also recommends a new category ‘Deemed Wildlife Reserve’ to conserve wildlife habitats outside Protected Areas.
