About the Authors
Vidushi is a Senior Resident Fellow and leads Vidhi's work in the area of Tax. She is interested in facilitating reforms in India’s tax landscape and focuses on issues relating to goods and services tax, income tax and international tax. At Vidhi, besides engaging with industry stakeholders, Vidushi has collaborated with the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, the Central Board of Direct Taxes, the Finance Commission, and the Goods and Services Tax Network on a range of projects. She has worked towards simplifying compliances under the goods and services tax law, simplifying processes under the income tax framework, and increasing adoption of digital payments. She has also extensively researched the tax challanges imposed by digitalisation. Vidushi graduated with a B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) from Dr. RML National Law University in 2014. Prior to joining Vidhi, she was working at PwC as an Assistant Manager in the Tax and Regulatory Services division, where she provided indirect tax advisory, litigation, and compliance services to various multinational clients.
Vinti is a Research Fellow, working in the area of Tax law. At Vidhi, she has provided research and drafting assistance to Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, Finance Commission and Goods and Service Tax Network. She was involved in projects relating to imposition of cess and surcharge post the introduction of GST, promoting digital payments in India, digitalising income tax administration system etc. She has undertaken assignments related to Goods and Service Tax, Income Tax and International Taxation along with an independent research on taxing digital economy in India. Vinti graduated with a B.B.A.LL.B. from National Law University Odisha in 2018.
