The NDA government enacted the Commercial Courts Act in 2015, bringing to close a decade long debate on whether such courts were required in India. Given that more than three years have lapsed since its enactment, we at the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy undertook an empirical impact evaluation study of the Act.
