Starting from Scratch: Role of Parents, Teachers and Tech in Early Childhood Education During Covid-19

Friday, 1 Oct 2021, 5:30 pm-Friday, 1 Oct 2021, 7:30 pm
Introduction to Early Childhood Education (ECE) in Covid-19

Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy invites you to the launch of its report, “Starting from Scratch: Role of parents teachers and tech in Early Childhood Education during COVID-19”, followed by a panel discussion in collaboration with the Akanksha Foundation and Rocket Learning, to be held on 1st October 2021, at 5:30 pm.

Despite the importance of Early Childhood Education (ECE), and of parental engagement in its success, little attention has been paid to its continuance during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the context of India, there has been little evidence on the status of ECE delivery during school closures.

The report sheds light on the status of ECE delivery and who was able to access ECE during the pandemic. It further navigates the role that parents, teachers, and tech have played in enabling the continuance of ECE during school closures, with implications for enabling parental engagement and prioritization of ECE in the long run.
