The Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy is delighted to invite you to its 7th Annual Lecture on 15th December. Each year, this lecture focuses on a contemporary policy issue of relevance to all of us.
This year, Prof. Ganesh Devy, Linguist & Cultural Activist, will speak on ‘Law, Language, and Livelihood: The Constitutional and Legal Regulation of Languages in India’ at 6:30 PM at the Lecture Hall -2, Annexe, India International Centre. Join us for high-tea beginning at 6 P.M.
The lecture will be followed by a moderated Q&A session.
ABOUT THE LECTURE:
This lecture will be delivered on ‘Law, Language, & Livelihoods: the constitutional and legal regulation of language in India’ where Prof. Devy will be discussing how the relationship that we Indians have with our languages is shaped and re-shaped by the law. The event will be preceded by high tea and followed by the launch of Vidhi’s annual flagship publication – The Briefing Book.
