CORPORATE LAW & FINANCIAL REGULATION
Aishwarya is a Research Fellow in the Corporate Law and Financial Regulation vertical. At Vidhi, she is working on the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Regulations and cross-border Insolvency laws. Aishwarya graduated with a B.A. LL.B (Hons.) from Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) in 2017. During her time there she has worked on two human rights reports and attended specialised courses in Advanced Corporate Law and Competition Law. She has also interned under Senior Advocate Ramji Srinivasan, in Avantha Holdings Ltd. and in law firms like Phoenix Legal, and PSA Legal.
Debanshu is one of Vidhi’s founding members. He has over a decade of experience in the area of commercial laws and the financial sector and has advised the Government of India on several legislative projects in this space. He was instrumental in advising the Government on the design and drafting of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code and its subsequent implementation. He has developed and curated Vidhi’s work on insolvency law, corporate law, financial regulation, and competition law and conceptualized its Bankruptcy Research Program. He is an alumnus of the Harvard Law School, the University of Oxford and Hidayatullah National Law University. He attended Harvard as a Fulbright Scholar.
Manmayi is a Reseearch Fellow with the Corporate Law Team. She graduated from National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi, in 2016 and subsequently worked at the Centre for Law and Policy Reseach (CLPR) and Dhir & Dhir Associates. While at CLPR she litigated in the areas of public health, women’s rights, and debt recovery, at Dhir & Dhir, she primarily worked on Debt Recovery and Insolvency Laws.
Oitihjya is a Research Fellow with the Vidhi Bankruptcy Studies Programme and the Corporate Law and Financial Regulation vertical. He is currently conducting research on insolvency law and policy in India. Oitihjya graduated with a B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) from Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur in 2018. Prior to joining Vidhi, he has worked with the Corporate Legal Group of ICICI Bank, where he assisted in drafting security documents and in researching on rights of creditors under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.
Shehnaz is a Senior Resident Fellow in the Corporate Law and Financial Regulation vertical. She graduated with a B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) from Dr. RML National Law University in 2011. Prior to joining Vidhi, she worked as a Partner at Zeta Law Chambers, Noida. She has also previously worked as an associate with J. Sagar Associates, New Delhi and the Financial and Regulatory practice team at Amarchand & Mangaldas & Sures A. Shroff. A & Co, Mumbai, wherein she worked on mergers and acquisitions in the financial sector and was also actively involved in advising some of the leading ‘payment systems’.
Shreya is the Coordinator of the Vidhi Bankruptcy Research Programme & a Research Fellow in the Corporate Law and Financial Regulation vertical.Her research is focussed on insolvency law, corporate governance and financial regulation.
At Vidhi, she has worked extensively with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, advising them on the amendment and implementation of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 and the design of second-generation reforms. She has also worked on law and policy issues pertaining to companies law, credit ratings and financial regulation.
Shreya is an alumna of the University of Oxford where she read for the BCL as the Zaiwalla scholar at the Oxford India Centre for Sustainable Development, and the National Law School of India University, Bangalore from where she graduated as a gold-medallist.
She has previously written for publications such as Business Standard, Financial Express & Hindu BusinessLine and served as an editor of the National Law School of India Review.
Vedika is a Senior Resident Fellow in the Corporate Law and Financial Regulation vertical. She is currently working on projects pertaining to the Non-Performing Assets crisis confronting the Indian banking industry. Prior to joining Vidhi, she worked in the Chambers of Mr. Dayan Krishnan, Senior Advocate. She has also worked as the Khaitan & Co. Research Fellow for Mergers and Acquisition at Gujarat National Law University and as an associate in the Capital Markets team at Amarchand Mangaldas, Mumbai. Vedika completed her B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from Gujarat National Law University in 2011 and an MCL from University of Cambridge in 2014 where she was ranked 2nd in her cohort.
Ameen is a Senior Resident Fellow at Vidhi, and is leading advocacy for the JALDI mission, which is a collaboration between Vidhi and Tata Trust. His work at Vidhi deals with judicial reforms and access to justice issues in India. Ameen is interested in furthering evidence-based policy, following which he recently completed his master’s programme from the Institute of Education (University College London), focusing on the use of research evidence in policy processes, and was awarded an MSc. with an overall distinction.
Before this, he completed his undergraduate legal studies from the W.B. National University of Juridical Sciences [B.A. LL.B. (Hons.)] in 2012. Prior to Vidhi, Ameen worked at J. Sagar Associates, in the firm’s regulatory and policy team. He has practised in the Supreme Court of India, the Delhi High Court, and numerous tribunals.
Chitrakshi is a Research Fellow with the Judicial Reforms vertical. As member of the vertical she has worked on issues such as judicial funding, transparency in the judiciary and other aspects that affect the functioning of the institution. Her areas of interest include public institutions, urban governance and governance of Scheduled Areas.
A 2014 graduate of NALSAR, Hyderabad she was working as a research associate for Centre for Social Justice, Ahmedabad prior to joining Vidhi. Interested in pursuing research that lies at the intersection of law and social sciences, she completed her Masters in Politics from the University of Delhi and is currently also pursuing research at the Centre for the Study of Law and Governance, JNU on urbanisation and governance.
Neha Singhal is a Senior Resident Fellow at Vidhi. She was the Deputy Director of the Death Penalty Research Project. She has worked on the report titled “The Working of The NDPS Act in Punjab”.
Prashant Reddy T.
Prashant Reddy T. graduated from the National Law School of India University in 2008 with a BA.LLB(Hons.) degree. He also earned a LLM in Law, Science & Technology from Stanford Law School in 2013. He began his career practicing law with the intellectual property (IP) litigation practices of two leading law firms in Delhi. He subsequently joined academia as a research associate at the Applied Research Centre for Intellectual Assets & the Law (ARCIALA) at the School of Law, Singapore Management University. Prior to joining Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, Prashant was an assistant professor at the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), Hyderabad, where he taught administrative law and IP law. He is also the co-author of Create, Copy, Disrupt: India’s Intellectual Property Dilemmas published by Oxford University Press in 2017. At Vidhi, Prashant leads the vertical on judicial reforms.
Reshma is a Research Fellow with the Judicial Reforms team. At Vidhi, her research has been on areas of the judiciary that need systematic reform focusing on general issues relating to the physical infrastructure of the lower judiciary, training of judges, working of central tribunals, and, specific issues of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court involving case pendency, disposal, court administration and management. Outside her core area of work, she is interested in data design, visualisation and information architecture. Reshma graduated with a B.A.LL.B (Hons.) degree from the National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Cochin in 2015. Prior to joining Vidhi, she worked at Wipro Technologies as an in-house counsel for the Legal and Compliance team.
Shreya is a Research Fellow with the Judicial Reforms team. At Vidhi, she researches on areas like gender representation and efficient budgeting in the judiciary. Her areas of interest include Human Rights & Judicial Reforms. She has publications in law & policy review journals and online platforms such as First Post.
She graduated with B.B.A.LL.B. from National Law University, Odisha in 2018. During her time there she worked as a member of various organizing committees including TEDxNLUO and also worked as the head of the cultural committee of the college. She has previously interned at organizations like Nyaaya, CHRI, SAHRDC and PLD.
Tarika is a Research Fellow with the Judicial Reforms team. At Vidhi, she researches on gender representation, efficient budgeting and transparency in the judiciary with an empirical lens. Her areas of interest include law and economics, and governance.
Tarika graduated from Gujarat National Law University with B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) in 2017. She has publications in peer reviewed law and social sciences journals and online platforms like Firstpost and Oxford Human Rights Blog. Prior to joining Vidhi, she was working for Gujarat State Petronet Limited, a state Public Sector Undertaking in the oil and gas sector where she was involved in various litigation and arbitration matters. She has previously interned with the Law Commission of India and Hon’ble Justice N.V. Ramana at the Supreme Court. Tarika is a pop culture enthusiast and enjoys watching anime and rockumentaries in her free time.
Vaidehi is a Research Fellow with the Judicial Reforms vertical. She has an affinity for large data sets and impact evaluation studies and is currently working on issues surrounding judicial capacity and transparency. She has a B.A.LLB. (Hons.) degree from Jindal Global Law School, Sonipat and an LLM from the University of California, Berkeley with a focus on jurisprudence and social policy. She has been published in newspapers and digital platforms such as the Hindu, Business Standard, Bloomberg Quint, the Wire and the Firstpost. She has been a substantive editor for the Berkeley Journal for Gender Law and Justice and a contributing author for a book on Sustainable Development Goals. She has previously worked in the chambers of Mr. Gaurab Banerji, Senior Advocate at the Supreme Court of India, assisting in landmark cases in the field of commercial law, arbitration, competition and constitutional law.
Vagda is an Associate Fellow with the Judicial Reforms vertical. She is currently analysing the quality of training delivered to entry-level judicial officers in India. Research areas of her interest include legislative powers and practices.
Vagda graduated with a B.A.LLB(Hons.) degree from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. She has been previously published with the Economic and Political Weekly and the Wire. Upon graduating, she worked with Pathak and Associates, New Delhi. Prior to joining Vidhi, she assisted Amit Anand Tiwari, Advocate-on-Record and appeared before the Supreme Court in a range of constitutional and civil matters. She is passionate about conservation of cultural property and in her spare time, likes to read about strategic affairs.
Adrija is the Team Lead of Nyaaya. She is presently overlooking the strategy, growth and content of Nyaaya where her core work has led her to be interested in social entrepreneurship as a model for social impact, design thinking for impact, information architecture and information design, the nexus between qualitative data and quantitative data for effective delivery of impact. She is presently pursuing a certificate course on “The Executive Program for Social Impact Strategy” from the University of Pennsylvania. She graduated from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad with a B.A.L.L.B(Hons) in 2016. Subsequently, she worked at Khaitan & Co., Mumbai in capital markets, securities, corporate, competition and litigation practices for a year.
Archana is Lead of Nyaaya Project and works remotely with the team in Vidhi, Delhi. She graduated with an Arts degree in Media and Communication from the University of Melbourne and a Masters degree in Interactive Telecommunications from Tisch, NYU. She has worked as as a software engineer in New York at Gilt, Edelman and Capital One bank over the last five years.”
Malavika is a Legal Content Analyst at Nyaaya. She works on promoting accessible and actionable information to the common man along with doing content research, creation, editing and website management. Her main areas of research and interest include social welfare legislations, violence against women and information design.
Shonottra is a Legal Content Analyst with Nyaaya, working in content production for the website. As a part of Nyaaya, her main focus is to provide simple and actionable legal information in a holistic manner that promotes access to justice. She has even dabbled with dissemination of Nyaaya’s explainers through easy-to-use multimedia content such as infographics and videos and works in the broad scheme of access to justice, but her main area of interest lies in child rights and refugee law. Shonottra graduated with an LL.B. degree from University of Mumbai in 2015, and thereafter worked in litigation for a year mainly dealing with labour law, women’s rights and other civil laws. She completed her LL.M. in International and Comparative Laws from Trinity College, Dublin in 2017. She started working in the development sector at an early age of 15 in Mumbai where she helped run a small organisation for underprivileged kids. While the initiative did not take off, she hopes to acquire the requisite experience to restart it again one day.
Sumeysh is the Outreach Lead for the Nyaaya website. He completed his BA.LLB (Hons.) from Symbiosis Law School, Pune in 2013. Subsequently, he went on to pursue an LLM, specializing in Human Rights from the same institute and successfully completed the same in 2014. Before joining Vidhi, he was working as CEO of Nyayika, a non-profit start-up offering affordable legal services through law centers in Gujarat. He has also worked as a legal researcher in the Centre for Social Justice, Ahmedabad, focusing mainly on grassroots issues and providing research and operational support to field law centers. His main areas of research were on themes of minority welfare, fishermen rights and violence against women. He is interested in understanding how the law influences the relationship between the state and marginalized communities.
Akriti is a Senior Resident Fellow with the Public Law vertical. At Vidhi, she has advised several Ministries and public institutions of the Government of India, and the State Governments of Delhi and Karnataka. She has advised on projects relating to privacy and data protection, regulation of the digital economy, platform governance, cybersecurity and allied areas at the intersection of law and technology. She has also worked on research projects relating to school and higher education, public health, transport and urban governance, digital inclusion etc. Her research interests include constitutional law, governance reforms, tech policy, education and child rights, media law etc. Akriti graduated with a B.A. LL.B (Business Law Hons.) from the National Law University, Jodhpur in 2015. She regularly writes for media outlets such as the Hindu, Wire, Indian Express, EPW, Financial Express etc. She has published academic articles in journals like the Indian Journal of International Law and the Comparative Constitutional Law and Administrative Law Quarterly, and contributed Book chapters to volumes published by the Cambridge University Press and Oxford University Press (forthcoming).
Aniruddh is a Research Fellow with the Public Law vertical. His research interests lie at the intersection of law, technology and political economy. Aniruddh graduated from the National Law School, Bangalore in 2019. He has interned at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co, Delhi, and was a Research Affiliate at the Quality of Governance project at IIM, Bangalore, where he was involved with designing empirical methods for policy research. He has previously written for the Oxford Human Rights Hub blog, and served as the Chief Editor of the NLS Business Law Review. In his spare time, he enjoys reading critical theory and playing video games.
Arghya is the Founder and Research Director at Vidhi. His areas of specialisation are constitutional law and regulation of the digital economy. He has served on a number of government committees including most recently the Justice B.N. Srikrishna-led committee of experts on a data protection framework for India.
Arghya has a number of academic publications on the Supreme Court, Parliament, fundamental rights in leading law journals such as Law Quarterly Review and Public Law. He is also a columnist at The Telegraph, The Hindustan Times and The Times of India. He has most recently authored a book “Independence and Accountability of the Indian Higher Judiciary” (Cambridge, 2019) which builds on his doctoral work at Oxford University. Prior to founding Vidhi, he was at Oxford as a Lecturer in Administrative Law at Pembroke College.
Damini is a Senior Resident Fellow and Team Lead in the Public Law vertical and is currently involved in projects pertaining to regulation of digital economy and implementation of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code. Prior to joining Vidhi, Damini worked at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co and thereafter at Tuli & Co where she focused extensively on insurance regulatory advisory (non-contentious), product development and general corporate matters. Damini has also undertaken policy work and advised on several other regulatory issues arising under the foreign contribution laws, labelling rules of packaged commodities and laws governing drugs and cosmetics in India. She has also worked as a legal consultant to the Central Information Commission and advised on various issues arising under the Right to Information Act. Damini graduated from the National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata in 2008 with a B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) and completed her LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2013 where she concentrated on regulatory laws and policy.
Kevin is a Research Fellow with the Public Law vertical at Vidhi. His research interests include constitutional law, federalism, and various aspects of Centre-State relations. Kevin graduated with a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur in 2018. He writes regularly for newspapers and digital platforms including the Hindu, Scroll, Firstpost and the Wire on a range of contemporary issues. While interning at Brookings India, he co-authored a paper on India’s Model Bilateral Investment Treaty. He has also interned with the Centre for Civil Society, law firms including AZB & Partners and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, and the Advocate General of Maharashtra.
Naveed M. Ahmad
Naveed completed his graduation from Rajiv Gandhi National Law University, Punjab. He then finished his post graduation in law from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. He worked with Vidhi’s Karnataka Office as a Research Associate and is currently engaged as a Project Fellow with the Criminal Justice Project.
Lalit is a Research Fellow with the Public Law vertical. At Vidhi, he has worked on a range of policy issues related to data protection, telecom laws, election law, public interest litigation, judicial independence, fiscal federalism, higher education and constitutional law. To these, he brings an abiding interest in the economic analysis of law and public choice theory. A 2016 graduate of the Gujarat National Law University, he worked as a Consultant with the 21st Law Commission of India before joining Vidhi in 2017. In his spare time, Lalit pursues interests in literary and fantasy fiction, poetry, creative writing, as well as moral and political philosophy.
Sreyan is a Research Fellow working with the Research Director’s Office under the Public Law vertical. He has worked in the areas of financial regulation and insolvency laws. At Vidhi, he is involved in projects related to the regulation of the digital economy. His research interests include technology and law, the future of work and labour regulations. Sreyan graduated from West Bengal National University of Judicial Sciences in 2016. He has published in media outlets like the Statesman and Bloomberg Quint and in academic journals such as Indian Journal of Intellectual Property Law and the National Law School of India Review. Prior to Vidhi, he has worked at Trilegal as a banking lawyer and subsequently at Finance Research Group as a researcher where he was involved in building India’s first insolvency case-law database.
Sunetra is a Research Fellow in the Public Law vertical. Her current projects at Vidhi include reforms in the area of Digital Economy, Privacy law and Data Protection. Sunetra graduated with B.A, LL. B (Hons) from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad in 2012. Subsequently, she worked at AZB& Partners, Bangalore for two years, where her work primarily involved general corporate matters, employment law and litigation. Thereafter, she obtained her LL.M in Intellectual Property Law from George Washington University, Washington D.C. in 2015.
Vidushi is a Senior Resident Fellow and the Team Lead of the Tax Law vertical. She is interested in facilitating reforms in India’s tax landscape and focuses on issues relating to goods and services tax, income tax and international tax. At Vidhi, she has assisted the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, the Department of Revenue, the Finance Commission, and the Goods and Services Tax Network on a range of projects, including simplification of goods and services tax compliance and increasing adoption of digital payments. Vidushi graduated with a B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) from Dr. RML National Law University in 2014. Prior to joining Vidhi, she was working at PwC as an Assistant Manager in the Tax and Regulatory Services division, where she provided indirect tax advisory, litigation, and compliance services to various multinational clients.
Vinti is a Research Fellow at Vidhi and currently works with the Tax Law vertical. She is primarily interested in tax laws and regulatory laws. At Vidhi, she has provided research and drafting assistance to Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, Finance Commission and Goods and Service Tax Network. She was involved in projects relating to imposition of cess and surcharge post the introduction of GST, promoting digital payments in India. She has undertaken assignments related to Goods and Service Tax and other tax laws in India along with independent research on taxing digital economy in India.
Akshat is a Research Fellow at Vidhi and currently works with the Vidhi Aid initiative. At Vidhi, he has advised on projects relating to the regulation of the digital economy, privacy and federalism. Currently, he is working on research projects relating to LGBT+ rights, withdrawal of care from terminally ill patients and public health. His research interests include public law, human rights, family law and gender and sexuality.
Akshat is an alumnus of the National Law School of India University, Bangalore and was previously an Associate at the leading Indian law firm Khaitan & Co., where he worked with their disputes and regulatory practices. He has been published in peer reviewed journals as well as media outlets such as The Wire, LiveMint etc., and has also contributed to international blogs such as the Oxford Human Rights Hub and the IACL-AIDC blog. He served as the Chief Editor of the National Law School of India Review and was also on the editorial board of the Indian Journal of International Economic Law.
Debadityo is a Senior Resident Fellow in Vidhi Aid. At Vidhi, he is working on air pollution regulations and environmental clearance process in India. He graduated in 2009 with a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Zoology from the University of Delhi, and thereafter in 2012, completed M.Sc. (Tech.) in Environmental Science and Technology from Banaras Hindu University. Before joining Vidhi, Debadityo has worked with the Legal Initiative for Forest and Environment as Program Officer and has also done independent projects on environment and wildlife protection in collaboration with WWF-India and Environment Equity and Justice Partnership. He is founder and trustee of Vindhyan Ecology and Natural History Foundation, Board Member of EKOenergy network and is a recipient of Duleep Matthai Nature Conservation Fellowship.
Dhvani is a Senior Resident Fellow in Vidhi Aid. She has supervised research projects on the functioning of the National Green Tribunal, on grievance redressal mechanisms at public health establishments, and on the withdrawal of medical treatment from terminally-ill patients. She has assisted the Indian Council of Medical Research with regulatory reform on clinical trials and has provided legal research and drafting assistance to the Ranjit Roy Chaudhury Expert Committee constituted to suggest reforms to the Medical Council of India. Dhvani has a D.Phil in Law from Magdalen College, University of Oxford. Her doctorate explores the idea of an environmental rule of law in the Indian context and analyses the role of the legislature, executive and judiciary in strengthening or weakening it. Dhvani also has an M.Phil and BCL from Oxford and a B.L.S; LL.B from Government Law College, University of Mumbai.
Prianka is a Senior Resident Fellow with the Vidhi Aid initiative. She is currently working on research and legislative drafting projects on Inclusive education, early childhood development and regulation of medical devices in India. Prianka is passionate about strengthening the law making process through evidence based research and stakeholder participation.
Shreya is a Research Fellow with the Vidhi Aid initiative. She is currently working on research projects related to inclusive education, early childhood development, medical devices regulation, healthcare applications and elimination of discrimination against leprosy affected persons. Her areas of interest include Right to Education, Constitutional law, Cyber law and the intersection of Health and Technology. Shreya graduated with a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur in 2018. She has been published in newspapers like The Hindu. She has co-authored the Centre for Civil Society’s ‘Compendium of laws to be repealed in Chhattisgarh’. In collaboration with the Centre for Communication Governance (CCG), she submitted an academic paper to MEITY on ‘Non-Consensual Obscene Content and Indian Law’. Prior to joining Vidhi, she has interned with policy organisations like CCG and the Land Rights Initiative at CPR, in the Chambers of Senior Advocate Prashant Bhushan, and with law firms like Karanjawala & Co and Samvaad Partners.
Shyama is a Senior Project Fellow with Vidhi Aid initiative. She is currently involved with the project on implementation of landmark environmental judgements. Shyama has been able to conceptualize and lead long term projects on enviro-legal subjects. Some of her work includes helping Kerala Institute of Local Administration set up a Legal Resources Center and drafting of a chapter on Sewage and Waste Management in the Draft Karnataka Municipality Law for CEERA, NLS Bangalore.
Shyama holds an undergraduate degree in law from the National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi and a Master’s from National Academy of Legal Studies and Research, Hyderabad. She also writes regularly on natural resource management and human rights in Live Law and The News Minute. Prior to Vidhi, she worked as an environmental lawyer and consultant at Enviro Legal Defence Firm (ELDF) with Adv. Sanjay Upadhyay for 8 years. Shyama is a trained Carnatic singer and loves to dabble in arts and handicrafts.
Yogini is a Project Fellow with the Vidhi Aid initiative. Currently, she is working on a project on the implementation of Supreme Court Directions on Environmental Law. Yogini completed her B.A. LL. B. (Hons.) from the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, after which she pursued the Young India Fellowship at Ashoka University. Yogini has previously published her work with Indiacorplaw.in and the JILS Blog. Prior to joining Vidhi, Yogini worked at the Centre for Policy Research on the subject of Urban Sanitation.
DEVELOPMENT & PARTNERSHIPS
Himani is an Associate – Development at Vidhi. She works with the development team to ensure the financial stability of the organization. She also assists in managing the overall grants and donations administration, preparing grant proposals, due diligence documents, researching funding opportunities and preparing progress reports for the funders. Himani graduated with a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from Institute of Law, Nirma University in 2013. Prior to Vidhi, she worked with Mumbai First where she handled communications and program strategy for the organization. She has also worked as a program consultant at Seva Mandir, where she was responsible for monitoring and evaluating various initiatives for maternal and child healthcare across 150 villages in Udaipur district. She co-founded the Robin Hood Army Chapter – a voluntary organization working for eradicating hunger through serving homeless citizens in Udaipur. She is also an amateur tarot card reader and interested in reading about Behavioural Psychology.
Jit S. Banerjee

Jit manages multi-platform communications strategies for Vidhi’s research projects and organises public events and consultations with key stakeholders. He is also responsible for coordinating the organisation’s efforts to mobilise institutional and program funds to help meet Vidhi’s goals and priorities. This involves building partnerships and strategic engagement with grant giving foundations/institutions, private foundations, government agencies, as well as HNIs and select corporates. Jit is also Vidhi’s brand custodian, in-charge of digital marketing, brand identity and image in earned, owned and social media.
Jit has a Master in Public Policy from the University of New Hampshire, where he was on a Tara and J. Morgan Rutman Scholarship, and a B.A. (Hons.) in English from Hindu College, University of Delhi. Previously, Jit has been a fellow of the U.S. National Science Foundation’s Innovation Corps Program, the Boston chapter of the Startup Leadership Program and Ashoka University’s Young India Fellowship Program.
Partha heads Development for Vidhi and his role is to ensure the financial sustainability of the organisation by reaching out to and seeking funding partnerships with Philanthropists and Corporations. A post graduate in Liberal Arts from Calcutta University, Partha’s previous assignments over a career spanning three decades, have included being part of Leadership Teams at Janaagraha, Greenpeace, Discovery Channel, PepsiCo and Dunlop. Partha’s non work interests include, reading, walking, classical music, swimming and indulging his passion for aviation!
Neha graduated from the University of Delhi, with honours in English Literature. She then completed her masters’ degree in Mass Communication and Journalism from Amity University. Prior to Vidhi, Neha has worked at the Centre for Policy Research (CPR). She has also worked on projects with UNESCO Asia – Pacific, Ministry of Human Resources and Development (MHRD) and Zee News.
Alakto Majumdar is the Chief Financial Officer at Vidhi. He started his professional career with Lovelock & Lewes, Chartered Accountants, part of Coopers and Lybrand in February 1993. After a short stint, he moved to ABP group, the media powerhouse from Kolkata and worked there for 12 years. In 2005, he joined HT Media and relocated to Delhi. In 2008, he began his entrepreneurial journey. During this 24 years, Mr Majumdar has worked in the fields of Strategic and Financial Planning, Taxation, Compliance & Control, Transfer Pricing and Valuation. Mr. Majumder regularly conducts GST training sessions and appeared on different TV channels to discuss GST.
Archana is presently working as the Account Executive in the Finance Department, Vidhi Common Service Group. At Vidhi, she has worked in areas concerning general accounting, HR Docs, payroll processing, cash flow, reimbursements of retainers’ expenses, MOU update, Grants update, among others. She is a graduate in Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from the University of Delhi in 2013 and is currently pursuing Masters of Commerce (M.Com) from IGNOU. Her previous experience includes general accounting, TDS, Income Tax, and banking-related work.
Bhavya is presently handling the accounting profile, Vidhi Common Service Group. His role includes statutory compliances, budgeting, and MIS reports. At Vidhi, he has handled statutory returns, the statutory reports of utilisation certificates, cost center, and investment tracking. Before joining Vidhi, Bhavya has graduated in Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from the University of Delhi in 2014, and completed the CA (IPCC) accounting technician course. He has headed a team for statutory audit of Delhi University (Shaheed Bhagat Singh College) for two consecutive years. Bhavya’s other project engagements include finalisation of a balance sheet, Income tax, Service tax, Sales Tax, TDS, Due Diligence reports, and internal audit of numerous entities. He is currently pursuing Master of Commerce (M.Com) and is well versed with statutory return (vat, service tax, TDS and income tax) and Tax Audit 3ca, 3cd.
Amit Chindaliya is working as an Office Assistant at Vidhi. Prior to Vidhi, he worked as an office assistant in the Delhi Railway Services.
Charvi is presently handling all the HR related work at Vidhi. Prior to this, she completed her masters’ in Development and Labour Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University (2017) and a bachelors’ degree in Economics from Hindu College, Delhi University (2015). She has interned at NITI Aayog, where she presented a research paper on Public-Private Partnerships in the Skill Development Sector. Additionally, she has worked with Centre for Policy Research and Capital Goods Sector Skill Council in the field of Public Health and Skill Development respectively.
Kailash Chandra Pant
Kailash Chandra Pant is working as an Office Assistant at Vidhi. Prior to Vidhi, Kailash was working as a pantry assistant at Central Administrative Tribunal.
Mohit is working as an Office Assistant at Vidhi. Prior to Vidhi, Mohit worked in ABP & Business Standard as housekeeping assistant.
Rahul Malik is the Senior Manager and leads the front function at Vidhi. He is responsible for the entire gamut of people-oriented processes. Rahul’s experience spans across a wide range of expertise in client management and operations delivery. He also has extensive hands-on experience in heading diverse HR initiatives – these include policy design, managing administration, training and recruitment in various industries.
Raju is working as an Office Assistant at Vidhi. Prior to Vidhi, Raju worked in German Embassy as a pantry and housekeeping assistant.
Shyamal Mukherjee is the Chief Administrative Officer. He looks after all administrative work at Vidhi. Shyamal completed his graduation in B.A (Hons) Economics from the University of Delhi. Before joining Vidhi, he worked in ABP (P) Ltd in the capacity of Circulation Manager as well as Chief Manager Administration for 36 years. After his retirement, Shyamal joined the PA/PS to Dr Ashok S Ganguly – Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha (2012-2015).
