The Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy is an independent think tank doing legal research and assisting the government in making better laws. Vidhi is committed to producing legal research of the highest standard with the aim of informing public debate and contributing to improved governance. Vidhi works with governments as well as other public institutions, providing research and drafting support at various stages of law-making.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Head – People and Culture, the Officer – People and Culture will be responsible for planning, and executing all HR-related functions and processes at Vidhi, including:
- Culture: Support the organisation in maintaining Vidhi’s culture of high performance driven by a non-hierarchical, participative and flexible work environment by espousing and role-modelling Vidhi’s values and behaviours, facilitating high levels of engagement and addressing staff grievances promptly and satisfactorily.
- Talent Acquisition: implement plans and processes to attract, hire and on-board appropriate talent at all levels
- Compensation set and maintain pay ranges and give effect to annual increments decided by management
- Capability Building: identify and help deliver training programs to impart essential management and leadership skills including in emotional intelligence, building and leading teams, goal-setting and feedback and holding difficult conversations
- Performance Management: help organise bi-annual development chats
- Exit Management: collect and communicate feedback from departing staff to top management
- HR systems: ensure all transactions are input to KEKA (Vidhi’s HR platform) and the system is kept current
- HR Policies and Processes: regularly reviewing HR policies and processes to ensure they are in line with leading practice and aligned to organisational needs
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- A graduate degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Public Administration, Organisational Psychology and related fields.
- 2-3 years of demonstrable work experience
- Excellent communications skills – written, oral and interpersonal.
- Demonstrable knowledge of and experience in HR operations
- Familiarity with HR technology applications (Vidhi uses KEKA as its HR platform)
- Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Official Suite
This is a full-time position based out of Delhi. Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience level.
