About Nyaaya:

Nyaaya is an open access, digital resource that provides simple, actionable, recallable and authoritative legal information to Indian citizens. We want to enable access to information about the law in multiple Indian languages, so that access to justice is not limited to a privileged minority. Nyaaya has instituted a unique public-private legal aid network called Samvidhaan Fellowship. Through the Fellowship, Nyaaya’s network of district lawyers deliver high-quality legal assistance to underserved communities in selected districts.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with team members to understand project requirements and translate them into compelling visual solutions.
  • Create innovative illustrations, layouts, and designs using industry-standard software.
  • Develop diverse content including brochures, merchandise, social media posts, impact reports, and video editing.
  • Produce initial drafts and mockups, presenting design concepts for review and incorporating feedback as necessary.
  • Manage content uploads to the backend of the website using WordPress, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Refine designs through final revisions and prepare deliverables for team distribution.
  • Maintain strict adherence to brand guidelines across all projects.

Qualifications:

  • Strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics.
  • Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as Canva, MailChimp, Figma and Premier Pro)).
  • Understanding of WordPress.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Organized and efficient, with strong time management skills in fast-paced settings.
  • A degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field is a plus.

  • Willingness to participate in external training programs.
  • Adaptability to evolving technologies and industry trends.

Location and Remuneration:

  • This is a full-time, remote position. While we are looking at a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week. We are open to full-time and freelance working arrangements as well. 
  • The remuneration is commensurate with experience; we are ideally seeking candidates with 2-3 years of relevant experience.
